MONTGOMERY, AL —Arsenal was selected as the winning organization in three categories in the 2020 US Captive Awards by Captive Review. This supersedes Arsenal’s previous win record and places Arsenal with the most wins of all organizations nominated the 2020 awards. Arsenal’s wins included:
2020 Captive Manager of the Year
2020 Software Solution of the Year
2020 Next Generation Initiative of the Year
“Arsenal is extremely honored to have been selected as a leading organization in the 2020 US Captive Awards,” Norman Chandler, CEO of Arsenal, said. “Arsenal’s past year was marked by a ground-breaking health insurance option for small businesses, expansion into the top leading domiciles, enhancement of our business and insurance solutions, and a vital role in an innovative initiative to recruit the next generation of talent into the Captive Insurance and Alternative Risk Industry.”
This marks the second year that Arsenal has won the Captive Manager of the Year award. This category is for captive managers that have underwritten less than $1 billion of gross written premium in the last 12 months.
The judges for this category commented, “Arsenal shows lots of growth in all aspects the past 12 months, including more offices and staffs, more broker networks and customers, some great initiatives and innovations, and great customer feedbacks.”
Arsenal also won in the Software Solution category for the first time for its innovative underwriting solution, known as JMRT. This category focuses on the application of a new technology that can enhance the operational efficiency of a captive and enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of placing risk in a captive. The main judge for the Software Solution category commented, “I am impressed that JRMT was built ‘in-house’ yet is considered so user friendly.”
Arsenal’s success in the 2020 awards also extended to its partnership with the Alabama Captive Insurance Association and Troy University in the Next Generation Initiative Category for its innovative internship program: Risky Business. Finalists in this category display innovative ways to promote the captive industry to the next generation and take proactive steps to prepare them for stepping into captive roles. The judges for this category commented, “Risky Business’s comprehensive focus on providing a wide breadth of experience to students will help them understand the variety of opportunities in the field. Engagement, support and networking with real life practitioners is so valuable.”
