This marks the eighth consecutive year that Arsenal has been shortlisted for the Captive Manager of the Year award. This category is for captive managers that have underwritten less than $1 billion of gross written premium in the last 12 months.

In addition, Arsenal was named to the Captive Consultant of the Year list for the second time. Judging in this category is based on the nominees’ expertise in identifying risk management solutions for clients through sophisticated modeling and expert industry knowledge.

Several members of the Arsenal team were finalists for individual awards. Norman Chandler was shortlisted for Captive Service Professional for the third time. Justin Law was also shortlisted for Emerging Talent – Service Professional.

For the first time, Arsenal was named to the Legacy Solution shortlist. Those shortlisted in this category are judged on their track record of crafting solutions for captives no longer needed. Innovation is vital, and entrants should be able to demonstrate a wide range of solutions, from acquisition to novations and loss portfolio transfers.

Arsenal also received placement on the shortlist for the Software Solution category for the first time for its innovative underwriting solution, “JMRT”. This category focuses on the application of a new technology that can enhance the operational efficiency of a captive and enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of placing risk in a captive.

The Alabama Captive Insurance Association’s Risky Business Internship Program, in collaboration with Arsenal and Troy University, received placement on the shortlist in the Next Generation Initiative category for the 2020 US Captive Awards presented by Captive Review. The Next Generation Initiative category is open to organizations that have implemented initiatives to bring in the next generation of talent to the captive industry. Finalists in this category also display innovative ways to promote the captive industry to the next generation and take proactive steps to prepare them for careers in the alternative-risk sector.

Iron ReHealth, managed by Arsenal, was shortlisted for the Fronting Partner category for the second time. This category highlights insurance companies providing fronting services to US captives.

Iron ReHealth was also shortlisted in the Employee Benefits Network category. The Employee Benefits Network category nominees are judged on their superior knowledge of employee benefits, customer satisfaction, and retention. Through this partnership, Iron ReHealth currently provides health benefits to over 450 companies across the Southeast Region.

Iron ReHealth was recognized for its strong emphasis on medical management and in creating a proactive approach to promoting member wellness. Iron ReHealth launched its Smart Health 360 program to develop a better response and understanding of various diseases.

Iron Re Dental, an Arsenal managed captive, received placement on the shortlist for TPA of the Year. This category is open to all third-party administrators providing services to US-owned captives and their parents.
